FAQ
Common questions
How do you charge?
Hourly for open-ended or ongoing work, fixed price for well-scoped projects. I don't publish a rate card — pricing depends on the actual scope, so it's quoted after a quick call or a written brief rather than guessed at in advance. Describe what you need and you'll get a real number back.
What's your process?
Short discovery conversation to understand the actual problem, a written scope (what's in, what's not), then either a fixed quote or an hourly estimate. Regular check-ins during the build, not silence until the end. Deployment and a short handover/docs pass are part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.
What's your availability?
Evenings and weekends, Cairo time (GMT+2) — freelance work runs alongside a full-time role, so it's scoped to fit that, not an open-ended commitment. That's stated upfront on every project so it's never a surprise mid-engagement.
Do you work with agencies, or only direct clients?
Both. Direct clients, agencies needing extra backend capacity, and other developers who need a second pair of hands on a specific piece.
I don't have a technical spec — can you still help?
Yes — a lot of first conversations start as "here's the problem" rather than a finished spec. Turning that into a clear scope is part of the discovery step, not a prerequisite for it.
What do you NOT work on?
Primarily backend and fullstack web — Python/Django, Node/NestJS, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL. Native mobile apps, embedded/hardware, and blockchain aren't areas of focus — happy to say so upfront rather than take on something outside that.
Can you work inside my existing codebase?
Yes — plenty of the work referenced on this site was maintaining and extending existing production systems, not just greenfield builds.
Will you sign an NDA?
For a serious inquiry, yes.
