PROBLEM
The company site was a WordPress install that only a developer could change safely. The rebuild had to let non-technical staff edit every page — services, products, articles, contact details — in English and Arabic, while still rendering fast and ranking well.
WHAT'S IN IT
- Every page — about, services, products, articles, contact — driven by Strapi content types, seeded in English and Arabic.
- Dynamic SEO metadata per page from the CMS, with RTL for Arabic.
- Footer and contact details stored once in a global CMS entry and reused across the site.
ROLE
Engineer at SaySoft — content model, Strapi CMS, the Next.js frontend, and deployment.
NOTABLE DECISION
Kept the CMS off Vercel. Strapi needs a long-running server, which serverless functions are not, so it runs on its own host with Postgres on Supabase and media on Cloudinary, while the Next.js frontend stays on Vercel and fetches content on the server. Each part runs on the platform built for it, instead of forcing a CMS into a runtime that kills idle processes.
